Hey there! I’m Jake Parker, the voice behind resortbossgolf.com, and like you, I’ve got a love for golf that runs deep. I’ve spent countless hours on the course, chasing that perfect swing, and even more hours playing online when life keeps me off the greens. If you’re here, chances are you’ve got a similar story—and I’m glad we’ve crossed paths.
My Love for Golf
I’ve been hooked on golf ever since I picked up my first club as a kid. It started with casual rounds at my local course, but as I got older, my passion grew. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of playing at some incredible courses across the U.S., and I’m always on the lookout for my next golfing adventure.
When it comes to real-life courses, I’ve got a few favorites that hold a special place in my heart:
- Pebble Beach Golf Links (California): If you’ve ever played here, you know why it’s at the top of my list. The coastline views, the challenging layout—there’s just something magical about walking these fairways. Every hole feels like a postcard.
- Whistling Straits (Wisconsin): This one is a beast, and I love every second of it. The wind off Lake Michigan, the rolling dunes, and the demanding course design make it one of the most thrilling rounds I’ve ever played. Plus, it’s hosted the Ryder Cup—how cool is that?
- Pinehurst No. 2 (North Carolina): A classic. There’s so much history here, and the course layout really makes you think about every shot. I always come off this course feeling like I’ve learned something new.
But let’s face it—life doesn’t always let you hit these incredible spots every weekend, and that’s where online golf games have become my saving grace. What started as a way to stay connected to the sport when I couldn’t make it to the course turned into a full-blown hobby. The competition, the strategy, and yes, even the banter with friends—virtual golf has become a passion of its own.
Why I Started This Blog
Boss Golf Resort was born out of a simple idea: if I’m having this much fun with online golf, why not share it with others? Whether you’re here to find the best platforms to challenge your buddies or you’re just looking for tips to step up your virtual game, this blog is for you.
I’m not a professional golfer (though I like to think I’ve got a decent swing), but I’ve spent enough time on real and virtual courses to know my way around. My goal here is to make sure you have just as much fun as I do, whether you’re sinking birdies on Pebble Beach’s 7th or nailing a perfect drive in your favorite online golf game.
So, welcome to the community! I’m excited to share my love for the game with you—both on the course and online.
See you out there, Jake
